Our Solar Stirling Engine is powered by direct sunlight. Depending on the angle of incidence, speeds between 200 and 400 revolutions per minute are achieved. Alternatively, the motor can be operated with a lamp. The work area and the cylinders are made of transparent Plexiglas and thus provide a direct view of the thermodynamic processes taking place. Technical special features include the pneumatic control and the magnetic gravity compensation of the displacer. The motor impressively demonstrates the conversion of light into kinetic energy.
